Bob Sponseller, ChFC
Bob is a partner and financial consultant with the Cornerstone Financial Group. As an Investment Advisor Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, he assists his clients in creating and implementing comprehensive financial plans that address the following coordinated areas: investment management, retirement income strategies, wealth transfer strategies, life and long-term care insurance planning, and charitable giving solutions. Bob takes an active role in the investment management process and is keenly aware of his clients' desire for effective risk management as well as ongoing communication and education regarding their investments.
Bob joined Cornerstone in 2012 after launching his individual practice with CIGNA Financial Advisors in 1991 and, most recently, founding Sponseller Wealth Management in 2003. Since 2008, Bob has been recognized by Cincinnati Magazine as a “Five-Star Wealth Manager.” This award is given to the top 7 percent of all advisors in the Greater Cincinnati Area and is based solely on third-party client evaluations. Bob is a 1987 graduate of Miami University (Ohio), receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a major in Finance. In recent years, Bob has been a guest lecturer at the Miami University Farmer School of Business and the Ohio Dominican University Investment Club. Prior to beginning his career as a financial advisor, Bob was a sales representative with General Mills as well as a financial analyst with General Electric Co. He holds the Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College, as well as his FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations (through Commonwealth Financial Network) and his Life and Health Insurance licenses.
Bob and his wife Carrie, also a Miami graduate, have been married since 1991 and reside in Mason, Ohio. They have three sons, Lee, Ty, and J.P. and are active in Crossroads Church. For more than 25 years, Bob has volunteered as a youth baseball coach and is a varsity assistant baseball coach at Mason High School. Bob is also a past board member of Christian Leadership Institute in Colorado Springs, Colorad. He currently serves on the board of Sustainable Medical Missions, a global medical missions organization based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
